Varicose Veins: Varicose veins are swollen, twisted veins that often appear blue or dark purple. They usually occur in the legs and can cause discomfort, pain, heaviness, and, in some cases, lead to more serious conditions. Factors contributing to varicose veins include prolonged standing or sitting, obesity, hormonal changes, pregnancy, and age.
Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT): DVT is a condition where a blood clot forms in a deep vein, most commonly in the legs. It can lead to severe complications, like pulmonary embolism if the clot dislodges and travels to the lungs. Symptoms include swelling, pain, tenderness, and discoloration of the affected leg. Risk factors for DVT include prolonged immobility, surgery, certain medical conditions, and lifestyle factors.
